Effective
immediately, we will begin accepting submissions for our "Dirty Dozen"
feature:
Stories of precisely 12 words (plus ONE word for the title). Risqué, but not lewd. Funny, but not silly. Intelligent, but not elitist. Ideally, all three qualities together, but not necessarily. By submitting your entry, you agree to comply with, and be bound by the following Official Rules: 1. Use our submission manager. 2. Unlimited number of submissions per reading period but they have to be submitted separately. 3. Submissions that violate these rules will be automatically disqualified. 4. We will select the three best entries every month and post them on our Website. We will acquire First North American Serial Rights. All of the selected entries will be printed in our semi-annual print issue. The author of the top entry will get one copy of the print issue and $10. There is no payment for any other entry. The rights will revert to the author after the printing of the print issue, but you have to acknowledge Vestal Review in all subsequent publications. The decision of the editors is final. 5. We will reply only to accepted submissions. Please do not query about the status. Example: Busy-Body Mornings: dreams. Days: work. Evenings: parties. Nights: sex. Too busy to die.
